Booking Terms
and Conditions
Confirmation – We
send you, via e-mail, our confirmation of your booking,
with these terms and conditions attached. You will
be asked to acknowledge receipt of our confirmation
e-mail and the attachment. Your acknowledgement will
be taken as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Responsible
Person – At the time of booking, we require you
to provide the name and full address, LANDLINE telephone
number (daytime and/or evening), and where possible
a mobile telephone number, all for the person who is
to be responsible for the booking.
Deposits/Cancellations – We
do not normally ask for deposits at time of booking,
although this may be varied for bookings at extremely
busy times (eg Xmas/New Year). In the event of the
booking being cancelled, if it is cancelled more than
six days before the booking, then no charges are made.
If a booking is cancelled anytime in the last six days
before the day of the booking, then a standard £50
cancellation fee is payable. Having accepted our e-mail
confirmation and attached terms, this fee becomes payable
immediately, by the “Responsible Person”.
Payments – We
offer three alternatives. Cash at the commencement
of the hire, payable to the driver, before the vehicle
leaves the collection point. If it is a two part journey,
with a return part at some later hour/date, the full
price for both journeys is payable at the beginning
of the first journey. Secondly, we accept most debit/credit
cards. If paying by this method, full payment must
be made at least 48 hours in advance of the booking
time/date. Payment is made by calling the office on
01279 817007 during normal office hours. Thirdly, we
accept cheques, made payable to Autohire of Stansted.
These must be received in the office at least ten working
days (excluding weekends) before the booking date.
Should you require an invoice and/or receipt, please
e-mail your requirements to the office ( accounts@stanstedcoach.co.uk
), quoting to whom you want the invoice made out to,
and it will be e-mailed as requested.
Smoking, food
and drink – All of our vehicles carry warning
signs that no smoking, eating or drinking is permitted
on the vehicle. It is in fact illegal in many circumstances
for us to allow consumption of alcohol on our larger
vehicles, and to ensure our compliance with the law,
and for the comfort and safety of all passengers, we
impose a total ban on all smoking, drinking and eating
on our vehicles.
Vehicle Cleanliness – We
try to ensure that all of our vehicles are kept clean
and presentable at all times. Rubbish carriers are
available on all vehicles. Should a vehicle become
unduly dirty or unclean on the inside, and this is
found to be directly caused by one or more of the passengers
not behaving responsibly (including sickness etc.),
then a standard cleaning charge of a minimum of £100
will be made. This fee is payable immediately, by the “Responsible
Person”.
WAITING/LOADING
TIMES – HAVING AGREED PICK-UP TIMES WITH THE
HIRER, WE ALLOW A MAXIMUM OF FIFTEEN MINUTES BEYOND
THAT TIME FOR WAITING AND LOADING THE VEHICLE. SHOULD
THERE BE FURTHER DELAY BEYOND THE FIFTEEN MINUTES,
THEN ADDITIONAL WAITING TIME CHARGES WILL BE PAYABLE.
IT IS NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE, BECAUSE OF OTHER BOOKINGS,
FOR THE VEHICLE TO WAIT BEYOND THE FIFTEEN MINUTES.
IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN THE DRIVER WILL ADVISE YOU
THAT HE MUST DEPART, AND THE VEHICLE WILL GO, WITH
OR WITHOUT IT’S FULL COMPLEMENT OF PASSENGERS.
